Can USB be converted to HDMI? With the Cable Matters USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI Adapter, it is possible to convert the USB port on your computer into an HDMI video port. The Cable Matters USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI Adapter will allow you connect an HDMI display to the USB port on your computer. What is the maximum supported resolution? The maximum supported resolution of the Cable Matters USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI Adapter is 2560x1440. To achieve this resolution the adapter must be connected to at least a USB 3.0 port. When connected to a USB 2.0 port, the adapter will only support up to 1080p. How does the USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI Adapter work? The USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI Adapter utilizes DisplayLink technology to send the video signal to your monitor. The latest DisplayLink driver must be installed on your system for the adapter to function properly.
