I bought three of these about two years ago. I use them as "docking" stations for large monitors at home and at work, and then carry a third in my briefcase to connect to projectors at client sites. I connect them to my Lenovo yoga 900 laptop. Overall I am happy with this, but I do see some inconsistency. At home it works flawlessly connecting my laptop to my Lenovo monitor via HDMI. I also use the USB port and the ethernet port. No problems. At work I have one connected to an Acer monitor, and the laptop has to hunt for the right resolution for a long time - maybe 60-90 seconds. Once I learned to just let it hunt, it works fine. My only complaint is with the cord. The cord is so short that it ends up bending the USB-C port on the laptop, that over time could break the port. If the adapter had a 12" or 18" cord instead of a 4" cord this probably wouldn't be an issue. Overall I'm happy, and would love to see a change to the cord.

Got this product on 5/22/2016 for my xps 15 9550 and the vga, ethernet and usb works flawlessly. I use them daily in my work place. I admit i havent tried the hdmi port as my notebook has this port, but the other 3 works great. no disconnections and no issues. Perhaps the onu omprovement i can think of it, is to make the same design in both sides of the box and/or make the cable connector slight more flexible? great product!

Same problem. The USB port devices randomly disconnect and reconnect.

This device does not work! It does not recognize the displays ports and fail sometimes at USB 3.0 port. I am very disappointed.
